Memorial Day
May 31st, 2010 | 
Author: Who should we be memorializing today? I know that today is the day America memorializes the fallen marines, soldiers, and sailors of yesteryear. I certainly don’t want to diminish anyone’s death because life is precious. However, for the true born-again students of Jesus Christ I think it’s time to move on to more mature spiritual matters and put our focus on Jesus instead of an evil nation like America. Jesus gives us true freedom.

Milk-Bone Underwear
The saints who have left the church make nice targets for religious dogs. I call the church and everything that goes with it Big Mamma—the whore. Big Mamma hates anyone that challenges her legitimacy. She goes through great lengths to destroy her detractors and has no mercy on any who leave her to have a more meaningful walk with God. In this episode I relate some of what I’ve learned about leaving Big Momma.

The Legend Of Judaizers
Beware of Messianic Jews and their leaven. This group of people insists that they are no different from those who follow Jesus, I mean Yeshua. However, their zealous adherence to a defunct religious system tells a different story. The church and Christianity are the Gentile version of Messianic Jews and depend on customs and tradition to make them holy.

Treated Like Second Class Citizens Of Heaven
Messianic Jews just can’t accept that there’s no more Jew or Gentile. As a result, Messianic Jews, aka Judaizers, go through great lengths to get everybody not born ethnic Jewish to accept the Torah, Jewish customs and lifestyle to be right before God. These Judaizers even discount Paul as being a fake apostle and a false prophet. They’ll even go the whole distance and discount Paul’s epistles and every other epistle (such as Hebrews) that doesn’t promote the primacy of Jewish customs and lifestyle as the proper pattern to live for Jesus Christ. The clue that I’m speaking truth is the very fact that these Judaizers cannot let go of the old and obsolete Jewish ways. Jewish and Christian Judaizers are to be avoided like the plague because what they offer is slavery to sin and religion. They still refuse to accept the truth and are the very ones Paul warned us about. I highly recommend not taking the B.S. of Jewish or Christian Judaizers lying down. Don’t, however, look down at, scorn, or elevate yourselves above the unbelieving Jews because every born-again person was once like them and were headed to destruction by being burned up in the Lake of Fire.

Political Stupidity
Political stupidity is based on political correctness and civil religion. America’s founders were brilliant in how they founded the United States of America, but not in the way they get credit for it today. The church paints the Founding Fathers as mostly godly men who created this country to be a Christian nation. I contend that there’s nothing Christian about this country other than the wishful thinking on the part of well-meaning people.

A Poor Man’s Good News
The kingdom of God isn’t for the wealthy. Christianity and that institution down the street called “church” cannot survive without the money of the wealthy. The wealthy are the ones who donate the large sums of money institutions need to build their buildings and fund other projects. The institutional church, whom I also inffectionately call “Big Mamma,” is a deposit of benefits for the wealthy to lower their tax burden and give them a high standing in the religious community. Rich folks have their reward in full here on earth.

Sunday Morning Warship
That religious institution down the street called “church,” survives only because of the Sunday Morning worship. An apt renaming of the main event of Big Mamma (organized religion) is “Sunday Morning warship.” Why, because the Sunday Morning warship makes war on the freedom Jesus Christ gives to those who call on his name.

Why Church?
Why or why not use the word “church?” “Church” is a purposeful mistranslation; it comes from a Greek word that didn’t exist until the 4th century. If the word “church” is a mistranslation, then what does it mean and why should we keep using it?
